Bridal Makeup Cheshire
Your Wedding day is without a doubt one of the most important days of your life. When I meet brides to be most of them say that they want to look like the best version of themselves. Makeup is a way to express yourself and hopefully helps you feel confident and empowered.
When Clare came for her trial as always we discussed what she hoped to get from her wedding makeup and what she liked and disliked. As far as bridal makeup goes, a lot of women prefer to opt for something soft and subtle, usually a light smokey eye paired with a nude lip. It was a pleasant surprise for me when Clare hoped for something totally different, she wanted more of a bold smokey eye and a dark vampy lip. So thats what we worked towards!
Getting It Right – Wedding Makeup Trial
Clare has a beautiful fair complexion so it was important to find the right foundation to best compliment her skin tone. I find a lot of brands don’t really cater to those with paler skin however Nars have an extensive range of shades that vary in tone too. This is perfect for my kit when I’m doing bridal makeup as every bride has a completely different complexion. Clare also wanted a dark vampy lip, we played around with a few different colours but eventually decided on a MAC cosmetics shade called Cyber which is an intense purple which a satin finish. It’s a very daring colour but Clare pulled it off perfectly!
The Big Day
On the morning of her wedding, I went and set up at Clare’s Parents house in Winsford, Cheshire. I did the makeup for Clare and her friends and family for her big day. It was lovely and relaxed and they all looked beautiful. Clare then went onto Abbeywood Estate, Cheshire where her and Elliot got married and celebrated with their loved ones. I love the ambience at Abbeywood, it feels so magical set back near Delamere forest.
It was a real pleasure spending the morning with Clare doing her bridal makeup for her and her friends.
